Dear TI Expert,

We have developed 4S BMS using 77915 IC, in datasheet we understood that wire fault sense if measured current of the cell is smaller 200nA. which means calculated voltage required for the wire fault is below 5mV.

Problem:  In the application if any cell voltage is below 600mV then both MOSFET off. Our customer does not except this. As the competitors BMS detected Open wire Voltage below 50mV then only both MOSFET off. Please Suggest solution.

    I think there is some confusion regarding how OW works. An OW fault detection occurs when at least one of the cell voltages is measured below the OW threshold, VOW, for a duration of OW delay. Section 9.3.2.3 Operation in OW in the BQ77915 Datasheet goes more in detail regarding this.

    VOW, is given in Section 8.5 Electrical Characteristics (continued) in the datasheet as shown below.
