Hi,

My system requires an input voltage range of 7-18V and an output voltage range of 15-28V. I need to be able to set the output current to a fixed 3A. I should be able to adjust the input current limit. UV/OV protections should be addable. I need to be able to enable/disable the system via a microcontroller. The system should also allow the use of external MOSFETs. Can you recommend a suitable DC-DC controller IC?

    Hi Umut,

    If the output voltage is always no less than input voltage, you may use a boost controller. You may start from LM51231.

    If the output voltage may be higher or lower than input voltage, you need to use a buck-boost controller. You may start from LM5177.
