Hi Shankar,
There is no single battery charge IC that takes AC input. All of the battery IC's need a DC input. A multi-chip reference design with an AC/DC converter followed by a battery charger is required. The have some questions:
1. What is battery type, LiIon, lead acid, etc.?
2. What is the end application or at least the high level category form the list below for your application? I need this info in order to forward your request to the correct reference design team.
