How to understand the process of CC regulation and CV regulation? CV is the first stage and CC is following stage, right?

Hi Beida,

It depends on the application - for example, with brickwall current limit, the design would operate in CV first before hitting CC in current limit. Meanwhile for supercap or battery charging, CC occus first until the relevant voltage is reached, at which point CV regulation occurs while the current tapers down.

Take a look at the data sheet block diagram for more detail as well.
