Part Number: TPS25751
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS26750,

Tool/software:

hi team,

Customer get one question regard "TPS25751 and TPS26750 EEPROM Update Over I2C" app note.

Customer use TPS25751, their application target voltage is 5V, but they need data swap feature.

If customer get a blank EEPROM connected to their system, their system work in dead battery mode, connect PD source to their product, could they get 5V to power their system?

Does it OK for customer to follow the "TPS25751 and TPS26750 EEPROM Update Over I2C" app note to update a blank EEPROM to desired code?

Regards,

Will

  • Hi Will,

    Thank you for reaching out!

The external EEPROM needs to be programmed initially so that the region headers are set up properly. The application note referenced above is for updating an image that is already present on the EEPROM.

Please let me know if you have additional questions/concerns.

    Best Regards,
