BQ76200: Effect of VDDCP value on FET

Tool/software:

I use BQ76200PW chip and MOSFET (FDBL86066-F085) 6 charge and 6 discharge.
I wonder if there is any problem when using 4.7uF and 1uF capacitance value of Vddcp.

Depending on the Vddcp value, the FET may die.

The Ciss value of the FET used is 3240pF.

Hello My,

You can use Section 6 VDDCP Capacitance Reference Table of the FET Configurations for the bq76200 High-Side N-Channel FET Driver application note for reference. With your FET capacitance, 1-uF should be enough for VDDCP.

Yes you can use 1-uF or 4.7-uF with no problems, the biggest difference is that it may take a longer time for the charge-pump to completely turn-on.
