BQ25619E: BATFET turn off when VBAT present

Here is my test description:

Applied 3.8 VBAT and 5.0 VBUS
Bit 4 of REG0x07 BATFET_RST_WVBUS = 0
Disable BATFET via bit 5 of REG0X07
Wait 10 seconds if bit 3 of REG0x07 is checked
BATFET turns off, charging stops but SYS is still 3.9 V

I was thinking, reading the datasheet, that this configuration would not turn off BATFET and stop charging when VBUS is present.

Can you confirm it is the normal behavior?

What is the difference between BATFET_RST_WVBUS=0 or 1?

Hello,

If you still have the adapter present but want to disable VSYS, you need to enable BATFET_RST_WVBUS=1 before disabling the BATFET.

Hello,

This is not what I want to do.

I would like that when adapter present and I send Ship mode command to the charger, the charger goes to ship mode (BATFET disable) automatically after adapter is removed and not before.

The datasheet seems to go that way but I can not reproduce it.

Hello,

I have tested on my unit. With input attached, the device will go into shipmode after the time designated in REG0x07 bit 3 when BATFET_DIS is set. We do not have functionality to set BATFET_DIS and turn off later when the adapter is removed. We are working on updating the datasheet.
