TPS748A: Datasheet Query

Thanks for the response. Kindly clarify the following doubts

1. In which scenario  "VBIAS must be 1.9 V above VOUT" as mentioned in section 8.1.2. ? (Resolved in https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1460483/tps748a-q1-tps748a-q1?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=TPS748A#)

2. In which scenario "bias rail is at least 1.3 V higher than the input supply" should be met?  (as mentioned in section 8.3 Power Supply Recommendations.)

Hi Karthik,

1. I agree with Nick's response on the thread you linked that the statement "VBIAS must be 1.9 V above VOUT" in section 8.1.2 appears to be a typo. The correct value should be 1.35V, as given in the VDO(BIAS) spec from section 6.5 (also seen in Figure 6-12).

2. The requirement for the bias rail to be 1.3V higher than the input supply from section 8.3 comes from the VDO(BIAS) specification in section 6.5. To achieve the specified performance of the device, with VIN and VBIAS tied together VBIAS/VIN must be 1.35V above VOUT.

So the line in section 8.3 Power Supply Recommendations should be read as "bias rail is at least 1.3.5 V higher than the output voltage" instead of "bias rail is at least 1.3 V higher than the input supply", right?
