ULN2803C: Is this part number for Darlington Transistors Arrays valid and orderable?

Part Number: ULN2803C

Tool/software:

Hi T.I's. forum!

I'm looking for some information related to next Darlington Transistors Arrays part number "ULN2803ADKR-ND" this is provided by one of our customer' BOMs. I know this is a very old part number but would like to know some more information about it.

What I need to know is if it's correct and orderable.

Hope you can help me with this.

  • Hi David,

ULN2803A is no longer available, please use ULN2803C. It is functionally the same, but in a 20-pin package instead of 18-pin. It can be dropped into the ULN2803A footprint with the bottom two pads NC or hanging if needed.

    Part number is ULN2803CDWR.

    Thanks,

    Patrick

  • Thank you for your comments Patrick.

I got more questions regarding to this...

    - Was this PN ULN2803ADKR-ND correct and orderable, right?

    - In these couple of old part numbers "ULN2803ADKR-ND" and "ULN2803ADWR" what does the bold and underlined letters refers to?

Hope you can help me with this

    Thank you again Patrick.

  • Hi David,

The DW in ULN2003ADWR is the package designator.

As to ULN2003ADKR-ND, it looks like that is the part number for another vendor's ULN2803A. This is a pretty standardized device so it is the same as ULN2003ADWR, and ULN2003CDWR is drop-in to this device as well (with the exception of the two extra pins on the bottom of the package).

    Thanks,

    Patrick
