TPS25221:Bypass Capacitor Placement

Hi Team,

I have two questions about the placement of the TPS25221 bypass capacitor: Cout (>120uΩ).

　1. I am thinking of wiring the OUT pin of the TPS25221 through an LC filter, then connecting Cout to the USB connector (TYP-A). Is this wiring method okay?

　2. On which side of the TPS25221 OUT pin should the LC filter and Cout be placed closest to the USB connector?

Masamitsu,

1. There is no issue with the LC filter selection.

2. I suggest that you place a 0.1uF capacitor close the the out pin of the TPS25221 and then merge the C and COUT capacitors in your design.

Thank you for your answer. I changed the circuit.

I placed a 0.1uF capacitor close to the output pin of the TPS25221.

Is it okay to place the LC filter and Cout close to the USB-CN?
