Hi,

I want to connect USB2ANY to USB-PD_CHG-EVM-01 in order to connect directly to the BQ25798.

I saw that the charger on board is BQ25798.

I tried following the instructions in the E2E forum post, by connecting the I2C and lines to J7. But that seems not to work.

Perhaps I didn't understand the post correctly, I connected the I2C and GND to J7 only (no connections to the USB2ANY connector at all - I at one point try to connect P3V3 through J3 pin 5 - although this should not be necessary at all).

I'm assuming that there is some problem on the i2c line because multimaster mode is required?

Hi Uri,

We have only tested by connecting J7 to EV2400 but it should work with USB2ANY as long as each I2C line and GND from USB2ANY are connected to J7.

Hi Uri,

I assume you applied power either to VBUS through the TPS25751 device or by attaching a battery to BQ25798.

OK,

It turned out that there was an issue with the USB2ANY firmware version.

All fixed and working now.
