LM5013: LM5013 designed through Webench has an issue.

Part Number: LM5013

Tool/software:

On the LM5013, I designed the supply using Webench and require 9.8V on the output. We built prototypes but the output voltage is 3.2 volts. I double checked the data sheet and the values of 357k and 49.9k are correct as far as the data sheet states, but the output is 3.2 volts. To get 9.8 volts, I have to change R2 to 14.4k. So either the datasheet and Webench are wrong or I got something else going on. Any ideas as to why R2 would be so far off? Schematic is shown below.

  • Hi Mark,

As per datasheet equation, the R2 should be 49.9kohms. And your schematic R2 value is correct.

Can you measure the R2 resistor which is soldered on the board and confirm if the value is correct?

If the issue is still exists, i recommend you to share SW, Vout and FB node waveforms to debug further?.

    Thanks,

    Nitya
