MC33063A: pin8 is left floating

I found that this MC33063ADRJR can replace Onsemi NCP3063BMNTXG, but Onsemi's pin 8 is NC.

Will it affect the MC33063A work if pin8 is left floating?

Hello Lillian,

I am sorry, but MC33063A needs the pin 8 being connected. See the application section of the datasheet.
