Hi team,
I have a question about how to use SCP pin of TL1451A.

I am considering to use SCP pin as a current limiter.

If SCP pin input voltage exceeds 700mV when the circuit current reach to certain value,

SCP would work like current limiter, that is my thought.

How do you think about this idea.

Hello Jack,

Please allow me to correct my answer. SCP is causing the converter to turn off the OUT drivers. It is possible that you could use it as current limiter, but I never tested this feature. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Someone told me that GNDing SCP pin disable SCP feature. Is this incorrect?

Hello Jack,

You are right shorting SCP to GND will disable the short circuit protection as no voltage can build up at pin 15.
