I am wondering if TPS715 OCP condition is for below ICL specs or another spec? Since TPS715 is a 50mA LDO and I am not sure the OCP can up to 90mA. Thanks.
The ICL specs are accurate as indicated in the datasheet. 50 mA LDO means that it will perform as per the specs advertised in the datasheet for up to 50 MA of load current. This is the recommended max load current. Beyond this, TI cannot guarantee an adherence to the specs in the datasheet. The current limit kicks in as a brickwall and the value of I_CL is shown in the EC table.
