Tool/software:
What is maximum continuous current we can draw from the OUTH pin and continuous sink current rating of OUTL pin of UCC27531, I want to use this to drive a load which is consuming 50mA of current from 28V continuously during ON

Hey Makkena,
Thank you for reaching out to TI with your questions regarding the UCC27531.
It is acceptable to continuously draw current from the output of the driver, but there are some things to consider.
Most importantly is the thermal considerations as continuous current can increase heat. Please refer to section 10.2.1.2.7 Power Dissipation in the datasheet to see how this calculation is performed. Because you are operating in a DC condition, some of this will need to be adapted for that condition as the typical application is at high frequency driving the gate of a MOSFET.
Let me know if there are any further questions.
Thank you,
William Moore
Hi William, thanks for your quick reply, I couldn't able to find section 10.2.1.2.7 in the datasheet, there is only section 10, If you are referring a specific version could you please share that, thank you.
Hello,
The section 10.2.1.2.7 can be found on page 26 and 27 in the datasheet.
Thanks,
Walter
