The output is isolated in shutdown.
For the Isat of inductor, you may refer to the following formula in "8.2.2.2 Inductor Selection" in datasheet and make sure that the Isat is greater than the IL(P) in all the work conditions in your application. There is no need to select a inductor with Isat as big as that in the datasheet table 8-2.
