Dear TI experts,

My customer drew their schematic with TPS7B7701-Q1 and TPS7B7702-Q1. Could you review this schematic first?

1. TPS7B7701-Q1

2. TPS7B7702-Q1

(BATT_IN is car battery. The voltage is about 14.0V~14.5V)

And here are additional questions ;

1. About dropout voltage, I can see fighre 7. but I am confused that Y axis is strange. I think the unit is mV, not V. Am I right?

2. About thermal characteristics, Can I expect the temperatures under the specification below?

- TPS7B7702 : 14Vin, OUT1 :12V/200mA, OUT2 : 12V/100mA

Hey,

I have reviewed the schematics and determined that they are fine. Regarding your questions.

1. It does appear that it should be mV. I will double check that for you.

2. Can you provide the customers expected ambient temperature so I can perform the thermal calculations.

Hey Chase,

1. Yes it is a typo, should be mV. Thank you for bringing that to our attention.

2. Under those conditions you should expect a junction temperature of about 54°C.
