LM3409: There is a contrast issue

Part Number: LM3409

Tool/software:

We are currently developing an LCOS HUD product, which is paired with OV's OP02220 optical machine as the main chip
We use our TI LM3409 LED driver chip
I have encountered a problem now and would like to consult with you
Using the same optical machine, testing environment, LCOS configuration parameters, and LED lights, compare the OV LED driver chip OP00925 with our TI LM3409 driver chip
We found that the contrast of our LM3409 optical machine is 200-300 lower than that of OV's
I would like to confirm with you what the reason is
Is there still a chance to improve (such as by increasing frequency or other means)

  • What do you mean 200-300 lower than OV's? Can you share the datasheet of OP00925?

If you mean lower current, you can set higher current with lower RSNS resistor value or VIADJ value if it is lower than 1.24V. LM3409 is peak current control and IOUT is slightly lower than set peak current.
