I am using the BQ40Z80EVM-020 with the BQ25756EVM to charge a 6-cell battery with the end goal to get the chemistry ID for the battery. However, while charging I have been getting a spike in the current and charging voltage during the taper charge, when this happens the inductor (I assume) also starts hissing the rest of the taper. I have uploaded the registers and .srec for the charger and fuel gauge respectfully with the log from the fuel gauge, the log was also plotted as seen in the figure. What can be the cause and how can I fix it?
Also, the termination current on both the charger and the fuel gauge is set to 250mA but it can be seen that it goes much lower and never terminates even when the FC bit is set.
