BQ79616EVM-021: BQAutoEval Not Detecting bq79616 EVM via USB2ANY

Part Number: BQ79616EVM-021
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ79616, USB2ANY

Tool/software:

Hello,

I’m trying to evaluate the bq79616 EVM using the BQAutoEval GUI to develop a custom board for a battery balancer application. We purchased both the bq79616 EVM and the USB2ANY adapter. However, BQAutoEval is not detecting the EVM.

Here’s what we’ve tried so far:

  • Connected USB2ANY to the PC and updated firmware via the BQAutoEval tool

  • Powered the EVM correctly as per the user guide

Checked all jumper settings and connections

  • Verified USB2ANY is recognized in Device Manager

Still, the EVM doesn’t show up in the BQAutoEval interface.

We have checked lot of questions on the forum but could not find the solution.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or can provide guidance on getting the EVM recognized? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
