BQ40Z50: Questions about BQ40Z50.

Part Number: BQ40Z50
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM

Tool/software:

HI

I have

1. Charging ended at a voltage (8000 mV) lower than the voltage set to the charge stop voltage (8400 mV)
2. During charging, RSOC was measured normally but increased sharply from 77% and adjusted to 100% at 8000 mV
3. FCC drops sharply for above reasons.

Attach the corresponding GG data and logging data.

Thanks

  • Hello David,

It seems that your resistance table for your ChemID is wrong which means that you would need to rerun the GPCCHEM calculator to verified that you are using the right chemID that has a error difference of less than 3%

There are some parameter within the data memory tab and I would recommend reading the Techincal reference manual to get a better understanding but here are some tips of what it could be. You have your "Chg Current Threshold" set to high meaning that your Fets would open during your taper current period. Another key is that your "Quit Current" could been set to high leading the the fets opening aswell. Another thing that it could be is the your Threshold Low/standard/High/Rec Temp and/or SOV threshold and/or low/standard/high/rec temp  is lowered than your packs needs.

    Thank you,
    Alan
