LM5023: LM5023

Part Number: LM5023

Tool/software:

Dear Texas Instruments Support Team,

I am currently working on designing a DC-DC flyback converter with following specifications with LM5023:

  1. Vin: 30-84V (DC input from battery)
  2. Vout Isolated: (Multiple isolated transformer outputs)
    1. Vout 1: 5V @1.5A
    2. Vout 2: 12V @1.5A
    3. Vout 3: 24V @1.5A
    4. Vaux: Depending on the PWM controller Vcc specification
  3. Efficiency: 85% and above
  4. Output ripple voltage: 50mV
  5. Operating temperature range: -40 to +125 C
  6. Standards to be qualified: EN50155

Please let me know if my choice of PWM controller LM5023 is correct?

If you have better suggestions on the PWM controllers from your portfolio please suggest as well

Thank you.

  • Aravind,

First of all, the spec is largely determined by your system design, not by controller itself, like the efficiency and ripple.

You can use many controllers to meet your requirement, including LM5023.

I'd suggest to go through the design process and verify.

    Best,

    Ning
