BQ24703: ACDET Pin Voltage Setting

Part Number: BQ24703

Tool/software:

Hello I have a question.

The operating conditions of the ACDET pin voltage are confirmed to be 5Vmax,

1) Is it a problem if I apply a voltage of more than 5V?
It is currently designed to be 10V based on the maximum.

2) If ACDET Pin voltage is lower than VACPRES, is IC in Sleep Mode?

3) What is the ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS Voltage of the ACDET Pin?

Thank you.

  • Hello Jaeho,

Is it a problem if I apply a voltage of more than 5V?
It is currently designed to be 10V based on the maximum.

I do not recommend more than 5V, the BQ24703 could potentially get damaged if you use more than 5V.

    2) If ACDET Pin voltage is lower than VACPRES, is IC in Sleep Mode?

    Yes, This is correct.

What is the ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS Voltage of the ACDET Pin?

This is a legacy device, so we have limited information on this device. I recommend refering to the datasheet for more information. Since this pin does not specifically have an absolute max rating, I recommend using it at the recommend operating condition of 5V.

    Best Regards,

    Christian.
