TPS552882-Q1: Inquiry for review of output voltage ripple of TPS552882-Q1

Part Number: TPS552882-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS552882

Tool/software:

Hi, TI expert

The customer configured a circuit with TPS552882-Q1 and wants to check whether the output voltage ripple is at an appropriate level.

Below is the waveform of the measured output voltage ripple, and the probe was measured with a short Ground Cable & 20-MHz Bandwidth.

Vout=13.23V, but the ripple is 254.84mV. Is it okay to consider it as an appropriate level?

For reference, below is the schematic.

Please check. Thank you.

  • Hi Grady,

Thank you for reaching out. The compensation parameter is not suitable so the loop is not stable, which will cause large Vout ripple. Change R414=10k, C416=10nF, C414=100pF first and see if the ripple is better.

Can you help provide input voltage range, maximum output current and output cap part number for me to optimize loop parameters?

    Regards,

    Mulin
