BQ79616-Q1: Ring configuration "link cut" handling

This question is actually regarding BQ79718, but it was not listed as a choice in "Part number" above.

When using BQ79718 in a ring configuration:

1. How will a "link cut" (a single comm. link between two stacked BQ79718 cell monitoring devices, has stopped working) condition be reported/presented?
   1. In other words, when the host is sending out a stack read to the stacked devices, what kind of info will the response frame contain, to indicate such condition?
2. Any possible example code from TI for handling this condition?
