TPS55288: Right parts# of FETs under our conditions

Hi,

Could you please let us know the recommended parts # of FETs on TPS55288 under the following conditions?

  • Input Voltage : Min 6V - Max 25.2V
  • Output Voltage : 5V/15V/20V
  • Output Current : MAX 3A

According to webench, when input voltage is min 8V, webench selects M1：CSD17578Q3A and M2：CSD18514Q5A.  However, if min input voltage is 6V, webench does not select actual FET parts #.  That is why I am asking.

    Hi Hattori,

    Please follow the below check list for key spec of the MOSFETs selection:

    1. N channel;

    2. VBR(DSS)>40V;

    3. Check the continuous drain current of the MOSFET. The worst case happens at 6Vin-20Vo-3A, the FET conduction current will be above 10A.

    4. For the dynamic parameters, recommend to use the similar value as the EVM used FETs as below.
