I'm using TPS16630PWPR, and setting the current limit to 5.5A using a 3.3k resistor. I noticed that it wouldn't even trip at 6A, though, which is way higher than the specified tolerance in the datasheet. I repeated this test (stepping up current to current limit) with other current limit values, and consistently found that it would trigger at way higher values than expected:
Current limit of 2A triggers at 2.5A
Current limit of 4A triggers at 5.22A
What could be causing this? I use this chip in other places, and have seen accurate current trip points, so not sure why I'm seeing this behavior on just a couple.
