TPS25763-Q1: USB3 DFP with DP AltMode possible?

Is it possible to use TPS25763-Q1 to implement a Type-C port in DFP configuration with USB3+PD and DisplayPort as source?

Planned setup: CPU/GPU would provide USB2/3 host and DisplayPort source, TUSB5461-Q1 as MUX, TPS25763-Q1 for USB PD and port control -> system provides USB and DP over Type-C to external monitor.

Unfortunately, it is not clear from the documentation, if this is possible.

Hi Manuel,

TPS25763-Q1 does not support DisplayPort source. It only supports DP sink.

Hi Eric,

thanks a lot for the fast response.

At the moment, SoC selection is still open, but I'd like to have a solution in place, if the SoC provides USB3 and DP separately.
Is there something similar to TPS25763-Q1, that does the job?

Hi Manuel,

Unfortunately, I don't think so. My team is responsible for automotive (-Q1) devices, and I am certain we don't have a DP source device. I don't think we have a commercial grade device either, but let me have somebody from that team chime in.
