BQ25750: The schematic diagram review for BQ25750

Part Number: BQ25750

Tool/software:

Hi,

We use the BQ25750 for battery charge, our input voltage is 47-54V, and the output is unloaded without a battery. The STat1/STAT2 indicator lights on the chip flash alternately very quickly,

and soon the chip is damaged. The current design is in hardware charging mode, and the current limiting point is 10A, please kindly review our schematic and how to solve this issue, thanks.

  • Hi,

When the output is unloaded, the capacitors charge up to the charge voltage and then charge terminates. When the charge terminates, the capacitors on the output begin to discharge through parasitics. Looking at the first two rows in the table shown here from the datasheet, the STAT1 and STAT2 LEDs will alternate during this cycle. I do not believe this is an issue with the schematic, though I have not given the schematic a close look.

Can you try testing with a capacitor in parallel with a 4-quadrant voltage source or an electronic load as described in the EVM guide?

    Best,

    Michael
