BQ79616EVM-021: What is the difference among GND/CELL0/CELL0S or CELL16/CELL16S

Dear experts,

the schematic of 79616EVM said CELL0 should connect to AVDD and GND of BQ79616.

CELL0S should connect to VC0 of BQ79616.

and GND should be tied to CELL0 at connector via a trace.

so physically, CELL0, CELL0S, GND are connected together. why need three signals? it can be one CELL0 at connector which is more simple, no?

is there other reason?
