TPS6594-Q1: TPS6594-Q1

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829

Tool/software:

I have assembled PCBs with DRA829 processors with PMICs TPS65941213 and TPS65941111.

Most of the cards have worked, but, in a few cards, the buck outputs of PMIC was not seen

The register values of problematic PCB PMICs are captured and compared to the working PMIC register values (Refer sheet Initial of the enclosure)

The registers 5C and 5D of PMIC-A indicate over current interrupt at buck 1, 2, 3

So, the capacitors at the processor related to the Buck 1,2,3 outputs are removed while the capacitors at output section of the PMIC are retained

This step has lead to no change in the PCB (no output at buck 1, 2,3).

The register values read after removal of capacitors at the processor are listed in the same enclosure, in sheet named After Capacitor removal

Please suggest further course of action

Thank you

  • Hi Kartheek,

You mention enclosure and a sheet with some data, but I don't see an attachment. Can you try to attach the file? When posting, either drag and drop the file into the post body, or go to Insert > Image/video/file and Upload from that menu.

    Regards,

    Katie

  • Hello Katie,
