TPS65070 error in PGODMASK description

Anonymous

Hi,

I would like to ask a question with TPS65xxx:

In SLVS950D, datasheet of TPS65xxx PMU:

On page 33:

PGOODMASK register bits are described as masking bits to select which converter/LDO drives PGOOD signal.

On page 51:

The bits are described as actual signal bits.

I think it is an error in the document. Could anyone confirm this?

Zheng

  • These bits only mask the PGOOD pin output. The status of the supply is indicated by the contents of register PGOOD (address 0Bh) and the PGOOD pin output if the bits are unmasked.

Please use part number followed by subject of question in your posts. I have corrected the title of this thread. Also, TPS65xxx encompasses many parts that are unrelated to the TPS6507x datasheet that you reference; please use a specific part number when posting.

    Daniel,

Thanks for the answer and I agree with it.

I still think if you compare bit[4..0] and bit[5] description, both for "1" case, bit[4..0] description is accurate and bit[5] description is misleading.
