Power Source Switch IC

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62750

Hey all,

I've looked around the products available, and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Perhaps somebody knows something that'll do what I need.

I'm looking for an IC that'll switch between power sources depending on which source is connected. I plan on having a battery and USB as my two sources, and either or both can be connected at any given time; only USB could be connected, or only the battery, or both. I'm hoping that something exists that can select between the two sources, given one has priority (let's say the battery takes priority over USB, for the sake of argument).

I'm looking at using the TPS62750 as my USB regulator, if it contributes anything to the conversation, as I need something that can source a bit of current. I see that some possibilities lie in utilizing a LiPo battery charger IC, as some of these can select the appropriate source, but I'm unsure if I'll have enough USB power to draw from to charge the batteries and simultaneously run my design (I'm currently utilizing around 400 mA @ 3.3V). Charging the batteries from USB isn't a necessity - a switch is really all I need. But, if I can get away with using a charger, that would be acceptable. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Richard
