Hello,

My customer is looking for a charger IC that supports the following conditions :

   - VIN (MAX) : 9V

   - Charge current (MAX) : 2A

   - CELL : 1-CELL(Li-ion)

   - Battery charge voltage : 4.2V

   - Control I/F : I2C

   - Remarks : USB BC1.2, ship mode support, QFN type (4x4mm or less)

Please recommend the most suitable product among TI's charging ICs.

    Hi JH, 

    Given the requirements I recommend either the BQ25620 or the BQ25629. The key difference between the two parts is the OTG mode output pin. On BQ25620 the OTG output pin is VBUS, whereas on BQ25629 the OTG output pin is PMID. 

    If customer does not plan to use OTG function then either part appears to be a good fit.
