Hi there,

I understand that the Temperature Coefficient is guaranteed to be <6ppm for this device. I require at least 3ppm (for my narrower temperature range of 20-60 degC) and was wondering how I could somehow deduce the worst case ppm for a temperature range of 20-60 degC.

In the datasheet could the "Figure 7-3. Output Voltage Accuracy vs Temperature" graph or any other datasheet info be used to deduce this?

Hi Steven,

Figure 7-3 gives a general trend for REF34 behavior. Figure 7-3 does show good performance from 20°C to 60°C, but we do not guarantee a maximum drift for REF34 in its datasheet in this temperature range.

I would consider parts such as REF54 ( https://www.ti.com/product/REF54 ), REF50E ( https://www.ti.com/product/REF50E ), or REF70 ( https://www.ti.com/product/REF70 ) if you would like a lower temperature drift. REF54 in particular offers part numbers that have been trimmed to the 0°C to 70°C range: REF54xxxCDR.

Thanks for your reply. Those devices are a little bit out of the price range unfortunately. It is a pity TI doesn't offer characterization for lower temperature ranges for more devices. (I would imagine a multimeter / lab measurement equipment to be a common use case).
