TPS709: Simulation in LTSpice is very very slow

Part Number: TPS709

Tool/software:

Hello all,

I try to simulate a circuit with the TPS70960 using the folowing model:

TPS70960 Unencrypted PSpice Transient Model https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sbvm462

In the status line I see "Pseudo-Transient Analysis: 5.00003 us inter=.... (Press ESC to quit)" for an endless time. When I press ESC the Simmulation time counts up in femto seconds and does not get to an end.

Is there anyone who can give a hint how to use these models?

Kind Regards,
Jens

  • Hi Jens,

Due to license limitations, we are unable to directly troubleshoot model performance when running in LTSpice. It may be possible to improve simulation speed with initial conditions. Decreasing risetime of voltage sources may also help.
