Tool/software:

The BQ27Z746 and BQ27Z758 share the same process for calibrating the hardware (HW) based protections. 

There are some things that are important to note with the HW based protections for the BQ27Z746 and BQ27Z758. 

  • The calibrated values for the HW based protections are not included within the golden image (for any of the file formats). 
  • The HW based protections must initially be calibrated on your gauge you use for the golden image creation by using the BQStudio. 

The entire process for calibrating the HW based protections for the BQ27Z746 and BQ27Z758 is outlined in the BQ27Z746 Hardware Protection Threshold Calibration application note.
