Dear Team,

I am designing the HDMI Interface where my one connector acts as both input and output and as per HDMI the voltage 5V will sink to my board if it acts as input and source if it acts as output.
Can any of the IC's work with the requirement or i should use the TPS2052BDGN for that.
If i use what should be the circuit.

Dear Team,

Can i get a Power switch that will only turn on and of like a normal switch when the enable is low it should be open and vice versa .
I have attached a diagram which is for reference.

The mentioned switch is what i need to support it and it should be the HDMI standard.
Should be able to handle 500mA of current.

Hello Irfan,

Yes, while the TPS2052B is capable of handling 500mA, it is a power switch for USB applications, so we cannot guarantee that it will meet all HDMI standards.

Hi Seong,

Yeah i am aware about that, since HDMI also requires 500mA so that will be fine for me.
Can you please help me choosing the switch as mentioned before.

So the technical requirements are:

Dual channel channel power switch
0.5A loading
Acitve-high

Is this correct?

Hi Seong,

Yes you are right. But I also want both the outputs to enable at once and also disable at once can we achieve it?
So if i enable the both output at the same time will the out will source 500mA each.
Can TPS2561 for that.

Yes, both outputs can source 0.5A at the same time.

Dear Seong,

If i leave the OC pin floating will they effect anything when i dont want to use the pin.
And can u tell what actually that OC means.

Hi Irfan,

Please see Section 8.3.8 in the datasheet which explains what the OC pin does and what it means.

If not used, it is recommended to simply ground this pin.
