Dear team,

 

Customer is finalizing design-in of TPS65987(DDHRSHR) Power Delivery Controller into 2 board designs, to support USB/DP Alternate Mode using TUSB1146(IRNQ) mux.

They now notice that this TPS65987(DDHRSHR) has been declared Not Recommended for New Designs (NRND), and would like to be informed about the EoL expection (YtEoL) for this particular device.

    Hello,

    There is no EoL expectation.  This device will continue to be in production to support customers who have already developed products.  The main reason for making this device NRND is to alert customers that we will no longer pursue updates to make this device compliant with the latest USBC-PD specification.  Please set expectations for support accordingly.
