LM5149-Q1: Sometimes the output is not output correctly.

Part Number: LM5149-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi all,

My customer considers to use LM5149QRGYRQ1 with the following configuration. Sometimes the output is not output. The waveform is below.

VIN(VBAT)=28V

Vout=7V

Output

Not output

In many cases, this phenomenon is not output when the chip area is warmed with a dryer.

It tends to be output more often when the chip area is cooled with a quenching material.

Referring to the figure below in the data sheet, this phenomenon is improved when the starting voltage is controlled to about 9V.

It is also improved when the rising speed is increased.

1) Is this phenomenon correct? Do you know the mechanism by which this occurs?

2) Please tell me how to improve it. Is there any way to improve it even if EN is shorted with VIN?

Best Regards,

Ryusuke
