UCC21710-Q1: Smart Gate Driver Options for 650V SiC MOSFETs

Hi,

We are currently evaluating gate driver ICs for use with 650V SiC MOSFETs. While we initially considered the UCC588x-Q1 series, we understand that these devices require an NDA, which may be difficult for us to proceed with at this time.

Therefore, we are looking for alternative TI solutions that meet the following conditions:
・Smart gate driver functionality (such as IDRIVE or equivalent)
・Suitable for driving 650V SiC MOSFETs
・Reinforced isolation
・Single-channel (1ch) device

If there are any recommended NDA-free products that support smart gate drive features for SiC MOSFETs with reinforced isolation, we would appreciate your suggestions.

    Hi Conor,

    UCC 21710Q1, UCC21750Q1 fulfill all the needed capabilities, except that they don't have Idrive (dynamic drive strength).

    Currently the key device with Idrive is only UCC5880 from isolated gate drivers.
