Hi TI team,

I'm using the BQ40Z80 EVM and encountered an issue when trying to unseal the gauge.

When I use the Advanced Comm SMB tab in BQStudio to send the unseal command manually, it doesn't work — the device remains sealed. However, when I click the UNSEAL button in BQStudio's dashboard, the gauge is successfully unsealed.

Could you please help explain why there is this difference?

Also, what is the correct procedure or command sequence to unseal the BQ40Z80 using Advanced Comm SMB?

Hello Tom,

Please reference this FAQ along with "15.4.2 SEALED to UNSEALED", a common issue is not sending the two words within the 4 seconds.
