BQ27542EVM: BQ27542-G1 LFPRelax 設為1 應用在Lithium-ion polymer 有何影響 ?

Part Number: BQ27542EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27542-G1

Tool/software:

What is the effect of setting BQ27542-G1 LFPRelax to 1 when applied to lithium-ion polymer?

  • Hello Iris,

LFPRelax should only be used with LFP batteries. This feature will not be enabled if the programmed ChemID is not a LFP battery chemistry.

  • Hi Sir,

    Excause me,

    1. If LFPRelax to 1,What is the effect of setting BQ27542-G1 LFPRelax to 1 when applied to lithium-ion polymer?

    2. We have completed golden learning before, what are the side effects if we change the LFPRelax bit from 1 to 0 and do not do golden learning?

    Thanks

  • Hi TI experts,

For Li-ion batteries, should DODWT be set to 0 or 1?
If it is set to 1, is there have any impact?

    Thanks

  • Hello Iris,

    1. If LFPRelax to 1,What is the effect of setting BQ27542-G1 LFPRelax to 1 when applied to lithium-ion polymer?

-The feature when not be enable for lithium-ion polymer and the effect would be not being able to enable it

    2. We have completed golden learning before, what are the side effects if we change the LFPRelax bit from 1 to 0 and do not do golden learning?

-If you are LFP chemistry cell and changing the LFPRelax bit from 1 to 0 the side effect is that the cell won't be able to maintain a full charge and Qmax could be incorrect.

For Li-ion batteries, should DODWT be set to 0 or 1?

For lithium cells this parameter is not needed but if you do decide to enable it, it would slightly improved the accuracy of the cell but this does mean that your relaxation period would have to be around 5 hours to be able to fully utilized it.

    Thank you,
    Alan
