Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61165
Tool/software:
I have a led-driver which has gone out of production. Hence, I need a replacement. A suitable replacement could be TPS61161-Q1. But I am unsure if the current limit through the MOSFET is high enough. The limit of the old driver (MIC2297-42YML) is 1,7A, 0,7A of TPS. The load is two parallel strings of LEDs, six LEDs in each string. Current draw is 40mA and the output voltage is 19,2±1,2V. When I measured the input current on the current design it was about 0,7A. That makes me unsure if the TPS is capable of delivering enough output power to the LEDs. Apart from the MOSFET-current the properties of the two LED-drivers are similar.
Thanks for your help in advance.
