Hello,
I've burned on two boards the bq24040, when applying the akkumulator with 4VDC.
What can I do, to prevent this? Is there any possibilty?
Thanks,
Johannes

akkumulator = Battery
There should be no reason to burn the IC unless you are plugging the cell in backwards and this will burn the IC.
On all silicon chips the substrate should be the lowest potential and reversing the power causes every circuit and component to get biased in reverse and most of the time causes internal shorts which tend to put large amounts of current and get hot, thus the burning.......don't do this, or add an external P-CH FET to disconnect the battery if connected backwards.
Key the battery connection is how most design are implemented.
