Hi,
I am designing a board with a lot of DDR chips on it. The total current needed on VTT is >3A . Can I just put two TPS51200's in parallel ? Or do I need to split the VTT plane in 2, one for each TPS51200 ?
Regards,
Edward

Hi Edward,
I recommend spit the VTT plane in 2, one for each TPS51200. Because TPS51200 doesn't have current sharing capability.
Thanks,

Hi Nancy,
Is there a "smart" way to connect them ? i.e. REFIN from one regulator to REFOUT from the other ? Or should both regulators have their own set of resistors to provide the reference voltage ?
Thanks,
Edward
Hi Edward,
You can use one set resistors to provide REFIN voltage for both TPS51200. But each TPS51200 should have their own 1nF filter capacitor close to REFIN pin.
Thanks,
Nancy
