TPS7A20: Looking for fixed output LDO with Low Noise

Hii Team,

I'm looking for an LDO to step down the voltage from 5 V to 3.3 V, I'm looking for a very smaller IC package. Fixed output voltage LDOs would work for me without any FB option. I'm going to use the LDO in an LED Board so, the IC should have good thermal characteristics.

Hello Karthik,

Thanks for confirming. Based on requirements listed I would recommend TPS7A20U (OPN: TPS7A20U33PYCKR) as it is a 75mA, low noise LDO in a 0.616mm x 0.616mm package.

Hii Tobias,

We are using 1 layer PCB for this project. TPS7A20U33PYCKR package is not feasible for us. Please suggest some other part for a 1 layer board.

Hello Karthik,

Since YCK package is not feasible for you 1 layer PCB, then I would recommend TPS7A20 in X2SON or SOT-23 (TPS7A2033DQNR or TPS7A2033PDBVR).

Can you provide more details as to why DSGBA package is not feasible for a 1 layer board? I am guessing this is due to BLR, but if you can share the specific rules it will be helpful.
