UCC5880-Q1: In ABIST fail scenario, will it be able to read the status of the IC via SPI?

HI,

We are using UCC5880-Q1 IGPT IC.

After power ON nFLT pins are not going high, which means fault detected in ABIST. So, the IC is not transferring to Active state.

In this scenario, will it be able to read the status of the IC via SPI ?

We are trying to read, but no response from IC.

Kindly support with this.

Hi Kathiresan,

SPI reads will not be available until after the primary side ABIST completes.

The recommended procedure when the ABIST fails is to power cycle VCC1 and VCC2. If the ABIST continues to fail, I recommend swapping the part to see if the failure follows the part.
