Hi team,

I am using TPS65987D this part number in one of my design. I am trying to connect external SPI flash to USB PD as shown in below circuit.

Below are the conditions,

SPI_POCI-R693 is mounted and made as low.

Ft4232 interfaced with usb pd and observing below error

 When tried with ft4222 we are observing hanging issue and not proceeding further Please let us know what is missing here And we are not able to load the config files to spi flash ic79 Also tried giving external 3v3 supply to spi flash still same result

    Hi Aswini,

    Unfortunately, we might not be able to help you debug issues with the FTDI chip as we do not directly support those ICs. We will still help you debug the GUI, but the support may be limited due to the nature of the issue.

    Another comment is that the TPS65987 PD controller is NRND, and support for this part is limited.

    The first thing I would like to know is if you have any other methods to program the SPI flash?

    Also, can you share the connections of the FTDI chip to the SPI flash? Does it exactly match the TPS65987EVM connections? Is the FTDI chip connected to the PD controller as well as the SPI flash?

    When you have the FTDI chip connected, please open the Adapter tab and share what the pop up window shows.
